Alaska: The Last Frontier

Cruise aboard the Celebrity Edge

Cruising Alaska
together

We'll cruise Alaska June 5-12, 2026, before the huge summer crowds arrive.  We depart from Vancouver, B.C., and return to Seattle on the Celebrity Edge. This is an ideal seven-night trip for bringing along family and friends. This will be our Travel Club's third Alaska cruise.

Day-by-Day in The Last Frontier

Day One: Vancouver, B.C. -- Diverse, cultural, and beautiful Vancouver is Canada’s culinary capital, offering fresh local seafood, farm-to-table produce, and authentic Asian flavors. While downtown shines with steel and glass, its epicenter is green Stanley Park, a 1,000-acre oasis of spectacular beaches, trails, and views. Plan to arrive a day or two early before we set sail at 4 p.m.
Day Two: At sea -- While at sea, take the time to recharge before the next adventure. Lounge by the pool, be spoiled at the spa, taste the delicacies, or explore the venues on-board until we arrive at our next port of call.
Day Three: Ketchikan -- Known as the 'Salmon Capital of the World', Ketchikan is also the ancestral home of the Tlingit people, who have carved the world's largest collection of totem poles. Up for an adventure? Take a canoe and nature trail excursion through the rainforest or a wilderness exploration followed by a sumptuous crab feast you'll long remember.
Day Four: Juneau -- Here's your chance to take a glacial dogsled adventure in Alaska's capital, where cultured sophistication meets the ruggedness of the Last Frontier.
Day Five: Skagway -- The great Klondike Gold Rush lives on in Skagway's charming downtown of restored 19th-century buildings and historic railway. Head to Klondike Gold Rush National Park Museum. From the vintage train, admire the mountains and see the 1898 trail that fortune seekers traveled on foot.
Day Six: Cruising the Endicott Arm to Dawes Glacier -- As you sail through the Endicott Arm’s 30-mile-long stretch, you’ll be amazed by the untouched beauty. Drifting icebergs, deep blue waters, and a spectacular tidewater glacier are part of this natural spectacle. Your journey through scenic Endicott Arm Fjord ends with a front-row view of the striking Dawes Glacier. Standing over 600 feet tall and a half-mile wide, this very active icecap is known for its spectacular calving displays, which noisily produce huge, chunky icebergs that float in area waters.
Day Seven: At sea – Once again, take the time to recharge before returning home.
Day Eight: Seattle, WA –Our Alaska adventure ends this morning in Seattle. Visitors to the Emerald City find a fusion of American, Asian, and Native American cultures, set against a backdrop of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. You may want to spend an extra day or two in this beautiful Northwest city.
